Jinglian Village is located at the foot of Pugualing in Qiaotou Town, Dongguan City, covering an area of more than 114,000 square meters. The ancient village has beautiful scenery and an antique flavor. Scenes of TV dramas such as “Deep Affection on the Earth”, “Understanding the Warmth and Coldness”, and “The Soul of the Army” have been filmed in this village. Here, there is the “Mansion of the Jinshi” from the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty; and the former residence of Luo Shaoyan, the propaganda section chief of the Political Department of the 7th Red Army and the director of the Political Department of the 4th Column. There is a large gate on the east side of the ancient village, and the stone steps at the entrance are in the shape of fish gills. Along the east gate, there is an ancient alley that extends all the way to the north gate. The ancient alley is paved entirely with granite. It is about 1,000 meters long. Each piece of granite is 1.5 meters long and 0.3 meters thick. The bottom of the granite alley is not only the drainage culvert of the village but also the path for villagers to enter and exit. People can walk on it, and sewage can be discharged below, killing two birds with one stone. The stone alley is built according to the terrain, winding and circuitous, giving a feeling of a winding path leading to a secluded place. The buildings on both sides of the ancient alley are well-proportioned, with unified blue bricks, red stones, red tiles, and white walls, as well as carved railings and murals. Most of the murals depict historical allusions, opera scenes, landscapes, etc., forming an exquisite and elegant architectural style like that of ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River as a whole. About 150 meters north of the east gate along the granite alley, there is an ancient well by the roadside. It has a diameter of about 1 meter and is made of blue bricks. The well water is clear to the bottom, sweet and cool. There are a total of 3 such ancient wells in Jinglian Ancient Village, all built during the Ming Dynasty and have a history of more than 400 years. Open 24/7 throughout the year.
