Jing Hua Yuan Scenic Area is strategically located on the south side of Wanlv Lake Tourism Wharf, boasting an exceptional geographical position with mountains and water. Surrounded by blooming flowers along the lakeside, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the lake’s surface upon climbing the mountains. The area is both grand and serene, reflecting the lake’s mirror-like beauty.
The scenic area is designed based on the mythological novel ‘Jing Hua Yuan’ written by Li Ru Zhen, a famous Qing Dynasty novelist, featuring the birth of the Fairy of Flowers in ‘Heyuan’. It has a profound cultural heritage and a variety of engaging activities, making it a comprehensive leisure experience area that combines sightseeing, entertainment, vacationing, mountain climbing, and team building, all based on the immersive theme of the novel.
The main attractions and entertainment projects include the Daughters’ Country (with daily特色 performances), Science Popularization Botanical Garden, Beauty Cave, High Altitude Descent, Enchanted Maze, Seven-Star Formation, Happy Land, and Lakeside Play Pool.
Daughters’ Country: This is a venue for the story performance and song and dance of ‘Jing Hua Yuan’. Based on the beautiful legend of the Fairy of Flowers born in Heyuan and the mythological content of ‘Jing Hua Yuan’, the venue is themed around Chinese fairy culture and flower fairy culture. It features performances by a dozen beautiful Hakka girls, creating a series of outstanding cultural feasts. The distinctive Hakka matchmaker will make you laugh, while classical female group dances and Hakka dances will feast your eyes. The area is transformed into a true gathering place for flower fairies, a well-deserved home for the Fairy of Flowers.
High Altitude Descent: The descent slide in Jing Hua Yuan is an extreme sport that allows one to experience a variety of complex feelings in an instant. The path is set between two mountains over the lake, with a 320-meter cable that glides at a speed of about 13 meters per second, taking only 24.6 seconds for the entire ride. It allows you to safely enjoy the freedom of flying over the green mountains and waters, giving you the sensation of flying over Wanlv Lake.
Enchanted Maze: Corresponding to the heavens above, the earth below, and human harmony in the middle, it allows you to decipher mysteries, perceive the future, and grasp your destiny.
Beauty Cave: According to experts, it is a monolithic block of granite formed from volcanic eruptions and cooling hundreds of millions of years ago. Inside the cave, one stone supports another, and stones are stacked upon each other, with some weighing tens of thousands of tons, making it very peculiar. The cave is 380 meters long. Such a large granite cave is extremely rare. It is said to be the dwelling place of the Fairy of Flowers and a gathering place for immortals, filled with a rich and mysterious aura. Every visit here is believed to bring good luck.
Botanical Garden Science Popularization Exhibition Hall: Heyuan Hakka Local Botanical Garden, a collaboration between Heyuan City Urban Management Bureau and Dongyuan County Wanlv Lake Jing Hua Yuan Tourism Area, is the first botanical garden in Heyuan City. It covers an area of about 45 hectares and integrates the functions of precious plant popularization, species conservation, and ecological tourism. The garden boasts a rich variety of plant communities, with lush and thriving local plants, including 11 species of wild national protected plants, 8 species of flowering plants, and dozens of other rare plants.
Flower Fairy Family Park: Located within the Jinghuayuan Scenic Area, this park is built among the forests, creating a true haven that blends seamlessly with nature. The park is divided into three play areas: Forest Park, Sen Sen Carnival, and Jungle Magic Net. It is designed with children’s interests in mind, incorporating elements of climbing, crawling, drilling, running, jumping, competing, and exploring into the park’s design. This allows children to experience nature while playing and stimulates their creativity, imagination, and cooperative skills through exploration. Additionally, it facilitates interaction and communication between parents and children, enhancing family bonds and improving children’s physical skills, manual abilities, thinking skills, and social skills.
