Huzhen Wei is located in Huzhen Town, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, backed by Gangnan Village to the north, next to Xia Village to the east, adjacent to Dongfeng Village to the west, and close to Guanghui Village and Chen Village to the south. It is a traditional Hakka village that embodies the architectural pattern of Hakka enclosed houses, reflecting well the political, economic, cultural characteristics, and local folk customs of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.

The village stretches for kilometers from west to east, with hundreds of various courtyards within the village. The layout of the main village lane is in a shape resembling a ‘rake’s teeth’, with nearly a hundred lanes of varying sizes crisscrossing between the courtyards.
