Chongxu Ancient Taoist Temple was first established during the Eastern Jin Dynasty in the second year of Xianhe (AD 327), and it has a history of over 1,600 years. Initially, it was the Nan’an built by Ge Hong. Later, Nan’an was reconstructed as Chongxu Temple, and in the second year of Songyou (AD 1087), Emperor Zhezong of Song bestowed the title and inscription ‘Chongxu Ancient Taoist Temple’, which has been used ever since. The temple is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
