Egret Lake is located in the northeastern part of Huizhou city, in the eastern part of the Pearl River Delta, under the jurisdiction of Ruhu Town in Huicheng District. Originally known as Jiaodong Reservoir, it is one of the larger lakes in Huizhou with well-preserved ecological environment.
The terrain around the lake is higher in the west and lower in the east, mostly surrounded by gently undulating hills. The winding Daliang Mountain to the northwest acts as a low barrier, relatively isolating Egret Lake from the outside world.
The southeastern part of the lake has an open terrain, mainly flat land. There are several islands within the lake, with a winding shoreline and many bays, and numerous peninsulas stretching into the lake, creating beautiful scenery, suitable for various water activities.
The tourist facilities and services at Huizhou’s Egret Lake are also very well-developed. Huizhou Egret Lake offers a variety of water sports activities, such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and motorboating. It is open all year round, 24/7.
