The Longquanyan Temple Group is located 1 mile north of Tuopu Town, Shantou City, Guangdong Province. It is near the sea of Sangpu Mountain, a branch of the Wuling Mountains. There are many interconnected stone caves. Since the Song Dynasty, literati have come here to visit and chant, leaving many stone inscriptions. Later generations built many temples here, especially in recent years. There is spring water in the mountain, so it is called Longquanyan.

Longquanyan is divided into upper and lower rocks. The upper rock is a natural stone cave with a huge boulder covering the top, which can accommodate dozens of people. The lower rock is a temple built by manpower, and only remnants remain today. There are also buildings such as ‘Zilaiyan’, ‘Shixian Pavilion’, and ‘Wenggong Academy’ beside the rock. Opening hours: Open all year round from 06:00 to 22:00.
