The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the bell tower of the Pisa Cathedral. Construction began in 1174, and due to its tilt, the tower was repeatedly halted and resumed. By 1390, when the 55-meter tall tower was completed, its top center point had already deviated 2.1 meters from the vertical line.
Located in the Piazza dei Miracoli in the ancient city of Pisa, Italy, the Leaning Tower is an eight-story cylindrical stone tower with a base diameter of 16 meters and a height of 55 meters. Today, it has deviated more than 5 meters but still stands slanted without collapsing, making it a world-renowned leaning tower and a popular tourist destination.
