Lingshan Scenic Area in Huludao, Liaoning Introduction

Lingshan Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Huludao City, about 53 kilometers away from the urban area. The scenic area features handsome peaks, lush forests, and a very beautiful environment.
Lingshan Scenic Area combines Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian cultures with natural scenery. There are numerous buildings and statues of Buddhism and Taoism. The ancient Lingshan Temple here is an especially famous place for praying for blessings. Lingshan was first built in 1738 (the third year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign) and is divided into upper and lower courtyards. There are 29 pavilions, halls, and buildings in the temple, such as the Octagonal Pavilion, Cihang Tower, Yuhuang Hall, Double-story Building, Bottomless Cave, and Dutian Hall. It is a large-scale ancient architectural complex of Taoism and Buddhism.


The existing lower courtyard still retains buildings such as Tianqi Temple, Bell and Drum Tower, Sun Tower, Moon Tower, Tianjun Tower, King Kong Tower, Cihang Tower, and Ten Thousand Buddhas Tower.


Opening hours: Open from 08:00 – 16:00 throughout the year.

Seniors: Free for those 70 years old (including) and above with ID cards or senior citizen cards; discounted tickets for those between 60 (including) – 70 years old (excluding) with ID cards or senior citizen cards.
