Hualin Temple, located in Xingzhai Community, Shanyao Street, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, was originally part of Hui’an Qidou, and now belongs to the Shanyao Street Office. According to historical records, the temple was initially built during the prosperous Kaiyuan era of the Tang Dynasty. It was abandoned during the Huichang period of the Tang Dynasty and was later reconstructed by a local named Hu Han in the third year of the Tianfu era (903 AD). Throughout the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, the temple experienced periods of prosperity and decline. In modern times, the temple has fallen into obscurity, with the once-vibrant Buddhist chants now silent, and the ancient temple site nearly forgotten.
