Xiamen Garden Expo Park is a grand garden showcase. There are a great number of plants in the park, with a complete variety. There are various garden styles, where you can experience famous garden landscapes and various garden arts from different regions. Due to its diverse architectural styles and numerous flowers and plants, it is very suitable for taking pictures, and it’s easy to get great shots.
The Garden Expo Park is located on the banks of Xinglin Bay in Jimei District. The scenic area is mainly divided into 9 parks, namely: Jiangnan Park, Modern Park, Northern Park, International Park, Lingnan Park, Landscape Architect Park, Public Park, Ethnic Customs Park, and Min-Tai Island. Each park has its own distinct features.

Together, these parks have hundreds of small scenic spots. It is almost impossible to fully and thoroughly visit all of them within one day. Therefore, before visiting, you should check the map and choose the ones you are more interested in to visit first, and control the pace of your visit according to the return time.

The Jiangnan Park is mainly in the style of Jiangnan gardens. You can see the water town characteristics of small bridges, flowing water, and houses, as well as the charm of ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River.

The Modern Park mainly adopts modern garden design concepts and boldly uses various new materials and new technologies.

The Northern Park is like the gardens in Beijing, mainly in the style of imperial gardens, which is quite grand. Interestingly, both Shijiazhuang and Zhengzhou are themed around drama. Different techniques are used, but they have the same wonderful effect.

The International Park highlights the garden characteristics and architectural styles of cities in various countries. The landscapes mainly include those of New Zealand, Australia and other countries.

The Lingnan Garden uses materials such as blue bricks and blue tiles and various characteristic plants to create Lingnan garden landscapes.

The Landscape Architect Park mainly features characteristic scenic landscapes, such as bamboo gardens and sugarcane gardens. The other parks are basically self-explanatory.

You can slowly follow the route map of the tour bus and admire various garden styles surrounded by various flowers and plants. Most of the landscapes are condensed versions, similar to Window of the World in Shenzhen. However, Window of the World condenses the iconic buildings of various countries, while here it condenses various garden scenes.

Some lawns in the park are available for tourists to rest, but it should be noted that some grasslands and areas are strictly prohibited from being trampled by tourists. Therefore, after entering the park, you can pay attention to some signs in the scenic area.

In addition, since it basically takes a whole day to visit including travel time, and the prices of food and beverages in the park are relatively high, you can bring your own dry food, such as some water and bread.
