Established during the 23rd year of the Guangxu era (AD 1897), the post office was originally named ‘Xiamen Daqing Postal Administration’. In the third year of the Xuantong era, it was renamed to ‘Xiamen First-Class Post Office’.
This historic post office reflects the architectural style of the late Qing Dynasty’s Western-style buildings. It is open to the public from 09:00 to 18:30 all year round.
