Daxi Island, located within Xiamen’s Xiang’an District, is situated in the waters north of Jinmen Island, with a close proximity of only 1800 meters. It is currently under the jurisdiction of the Xiamen Municipal Government. The island spans an area of 13.2 square kilometers and governs nine administrative villages, home to nearly 20,000 people.
Daxi Island boasts pure waters along the southeast coast, with water and air quality meeting the national high environmental standards, earning it the nickname ‘Natural Oxygen Bar.’ It is also a national egret nature reserve.

The local customs on Daxi Island are simple and honest, and it features a small commodity trading market across the strait and the Heroes Three Islands Battlefield Park. Within the park, there are attractions such as the ‘Largest Loudspeaker in the World,’ ‘August 23rd Artillery Position Site,’ ‘Battlefield Tunnels,’ and the ‘Air and Sea Drift Historical Exhibition Hall.’

Daxi Island is open all year round, available 24/7.
