The Meiyuan Story Museum, also known as ‘Meiyuan’ or ‘Meiyuan Villa’, is a three-story garden-style villa built in 1929 by overseas Chinese from the Philippines. The name ‘Meiyuan’ on the gate plaque is derived from the ‘Mei’ character in the original owner Huang Shi Mei’s name, reflecting its precious significance.
Built with exquisite materials and featuring a unique layout and façade, the ‘Meiyuan’ building complements the architectural style of the Republic of China era. Constructed with red bricks and clear water, after more than eighty years, the building remains in its original condition without major repairs, making it a rare find.
