Gulang Rock is a stone on Gulangyu Island. During the Tang and Song dynasties, it was called “Yuansha Zhou” and “Yuanzhou Zai”. This was because the small island is oval in shape, with beaches all around, and the name was given in an image-like way. At that time, the slopes of the island were covered with huge rocks, and the grass was lush, but there was no human habitation, making it quite desolate.
Opening hours: Open 24/7 throughout the year.
