Xingxian Palace, located on Lujiao Road in Xiamen City, is a historical site with a rich cultural background. It is said that a wealthy merchant named Huang Feihuai from Gulangyu Island, who was from Wenzhou, invited the statue of the Great Emperor of Health from a temple there. In the eighth year of the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1858), Xingxian Palace was expanded into a two-court temple. The statue of Guan Shengdi was moved to the rear hall, while the statue of the Great Emperor of Health was enshrined in the front hall.
