Anxi Qihu Rock is located 2 kilometers north of Jinbang Village, Huqiu Town. The Huqiu-Zhangqing Highway passes by the side of the rock temple. Due to the terrain’s feng shui pattern of “Flying Phoenix Facing the Sky”, it was also known as Feifeng Rock in ancient times.
The temple was first built in the fifth year of Shaoding in the Southern Song Dynasty (1232 AD). It has three main halls. The front hall enshrines the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. The back hall enshrines the Five Grains Immortals, the True Martial God, the Three Generations Patriarchs, Master Fan Hou, and Master Han Hou. The middle hall enshrines the Qihu Chan Master.
