Gufu City God Temple is located at the entrance of the Chi Dian toll station on the Fuzhou-Xiamen highway.
A local resident, Mr. Yang Gongjing, who is extremely devout in his worship of the City God, journeyed to the City God Temple in Shishi. He sought the City God of Shishi’s blessing to cast a golden statue and bring it back to his hometown of Gufu for veneration, thus giving rise to the Gufu City God Temple.
