Zhenguo Pagoda was first built during the Xianheng period of the Tang Dynasty (670 – 673 AD). Initially, it was a wooden pagoda used to house Buddhist relics. After reconstruction, it is now a pavilion-style stone pagoda imitating the structure of wood. There are dozens of statues of protective deities carved on the pagoda walls, and the craftsmanship is exquisite.
