There are five huge reefs at the estuary of the Minjiang River. Resembling five fierce tigers crouching at the rough江口, they stand side by side, facing the vast sea. This is the famous “Five Tigers Guarding the Gate”.
The bases of the Wuhu Reefs are connected. The tiger at the northeast end is covered with white porcelain clay and appears grayish-white, which people call the “White Tiger”. The third tiger in the middle cranes its neck and looks back at the Tiger Cave on Qingzhi Mountain, as if reluctant to part with its nest on the mountain, and is thus called the “Returning Tiger”.

To admire the Wuhu Reefs, one needs to find the right angle. Viewing from a place about 150 meters away from the side elevation of the Wuhu Reefs, they will look more and more alike, which is very interesting.

Opening hours: Open 24 hours a day throughout the year
