The Chuanzheng Tianhou Palace was started to be built in the spring of the seventh year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1868). The main hall enshrines the statue of Mazu. Above the hall are the imperial inscribed plaques of “Virtuous Deeds and Great Merits” and “Holy Mother of Heaven” bestowed by Emperor Tongzhi.
