Ye Mountain is located in the northeastern part of Gulou District, Fuzhou City, known for its rich cultural heritage and beautiful natural scenery. This is where the ancient royal city of ‘Ye City’ emerged, making Ye Mountain a symbol of Fuzhou’s 2200-year-old civilization. Also known as Quan Mountain, it is named after its association with smelting and casting. Surrounded by modern high-rise buildings, Ye Mountain is a treasure trove of historical sites.
Ye Mountain harmoniously blends with Ou Ye Pond, offering stunning landscapes that have long attracted poets and literati. The ‘Ye Mountain Historical Sites’ can be found near Ye Mountain Road, within the alleyway beside Building 5 of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce. Ye Mountain is not large or tall, standing at only about ten meters high, but it is home to towering banyan trees and numerous historical attractions, such as the ‘Nine Bends’, ‘Ren Shou Hall’, ‘Yue He Bridge’, and ‘Cliff Inscriptions’, all of which are worth visiting. The site is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
