Liancheng Castle is located in Liancheng Village, Taimushan Town, Fuding City, Fujian Province. Constructed in 1532 during the Ming Dynasty under official supervision to resist Japanese pirates, it was built in sections by several major clans, including the Wang, Ye, Yang, and Liu families. The stone castle has a perimeter of 1,127 meters, with walls standing 5–6 meters high and 4–5 meters wide. The parapet is 1.5 meters high and 1.2 meters thick. It features four artillery emplacements equipped with four cannons, three city gates (east, west, and south), an inner ring road, ancient streets, and an extensive waterway network inside. The castle is surrounded by a moat.
