The Old Beishi Folk Museum is located on the west side of the third floor of the Old Beishi Cultural Park. Established in early December 2012, it is the first museum in Shenyang to reflect the history and folk customs of Old Beishi.
Relying on the distinctive culture of the Old Beishi Market in Heping District, the museum vividly recreates the major historical events and local customs of Old Beishi through texts, models, and audiovisual means, telling the stories of Old Beishi.

It aims to present old stories, old photographs, old objects, and artworks that reflect the bustling scenes of Old Beishi to the general public and tourists, showcasing the unique charm of traditional Chinese folk culture.

On the basis of its exhibitions, the Old Beishi Folk Museum will fully leverage the material and cultural heritage of featured streets such as the Huangsi Temple culture, folk antiques, and China Time-honored Brands.

With traditional crosstalk as the main focus, it will incorporate sketch comedy and “Fengtian Luozi,” an intangible cultural heritage performance form of Heping District, to present to the public, allowing folk artists to artistically recreate life in Old Beishi.
