The Western Causeway is a long dike in the Kunming Lake of the Summer Palace, stretching from the northwest to the southeast. Just as there are six bridges on the Su Causeway in West Lake, there are also six named bridges on the Western Causeway. Even the willow trees planted along the Su Causeway have been replicated on the Western Causeway of Kunming Lake. To this day, nineteen of the original willow trees still stand on the enchantingly beautiful Western Causeway. However, unlike the straight Su Causeway, the Western Causeway is winding and meandering.
