The Niujie Mosque in Beijing is located in Xicheng District, Beijing. It is a relatively large and historically long-standing mosque in Beijing. It was established in the 10th year of Emperor Shengzong of Liao Dynasty (966). The main buildings include the prayer hall, the Bangge Tower, the Wangyue Tower and the stele pavilion. The main existing buildings in the temple were all built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is a typical example of a mosque built in the traditional architectural form of the Han nationality.
