Century Park is located at the southeastern end of Century Avenue in Pudong. It is a relatively large natural ecological park in the urban area of Shanghai. The park is divided into areas such as rural pastoral area, lakeside area, sparse forest lawn area, bird protection area, and foreign park area. The ecological environment is good. It is a good place for people to relax and have leisure and entertainment in the city.
The Jingtian Lake in the park is a relatively large artificial lake in Shanghai. It is approximately circular in shape with a diameter of about 300 meters. The Zhangjiabang River flows through the park, creating an ecological environment with crisscrossing waterways in the park. Whenever a breeze blows, standing on the Yunfan Bridge or viewing platform by the water, you can feel the rare artistic conception of rippling blue waves in the city. The park provides fishing and cruise services by the lake, which is a good choice for entertainment. There are dozens of bird species inhabiting the bird protection area in the park. There are also dozens of grey magpies specially domesticated by the park chirping and playing here, leaping among the woods and lakes, presenting a vivid wild interest. There are also many park areas and scenic spots with vegetation as the theme. In the Dongfang Hongzhu Bonsai Garden in the northeast, there are more than 160 characteristic bonsai with extremely high ornamental value. In the sparse forest area, four gardens of spring, summer, autumn, and winter are opened. You can enter the park to enjoy the beautiful flowers of the current season in each season. The representative scenic spot is the Century Flower Clock in the north of Jingtian Lake. It is the landmark scenic spot in the entire park. The flower clock is surrounded by flowers. Boxwood is used as the time scale. The center of the clock face is covered with yellow flowers, which is extremely colorful. And the flower clock is not just for decoration. It has a real timing function. It is controlled by satellite instruments. The error is controlled within 0.03 seconds, which is very magical. Among these garden vegetation, there are many shapes made of plants such as green maze, plant camel, and plant peacock, as well as characteristic sculptures such as Green World and Olmec ethnic carvings. These sculptures are dotted among the green jungle, creating a serene and secluded natural ecology, which is in sharp contrast to the surrounding bustling urban area and makes the park more vibrant. The northern part of the park is the Century Park Amusement Park. There are various children’s amusement items such as bumper cars, sky walks, and drift boats. It is a paradise for children. To the south of the amusement park is the lawn pigeon feeding scenic spot. Buying a bag of pigeon food and teasing pigeons here is also very interesting. To the west of the amusement park is the music fountain scenic area. There are 208 nozzles and more than 600 colored lights.
