Lingshui Village is a village full of historical sense. The ancient temple in Beijing, Lingquan Chan Temple, is located here. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many juren (successful candidates in the imperial examinations at the provincial level) emerged from the village, so it is also known as the ‘Village of Juren’. After the broadcast of ‘Where Are We Going, Dad?’, the peaceful village gradually became lively.

Many fans come here to look for the spider house where Lin Zhiying lived. Lingshui Village has beautiful natural scenery and numerous cultural relics and historic sites. Among them, scenic spots such as the stone figures on the east ridge, the lotus on the west mountain, looking north from the south hall, the green cypresses on the north mountain, the gingko trees at Lingquan, the residences of juren and temple ruins have been known as the ‘Eight Scenic Spots of Lingshui’ since ancient times.

There are three stone streets in front and behind Lingshui Village. The houses are piled up in layers, and the ancient dwellings are scattered in an orderly manner. The well-preserved’residences of juren’, among which the residences of Liu Maohuan, Liu Zengguang, Tan Ruilong, Liu Mingfei and other juren are elegant and delicate, with blue bricks and grey tiles, and gate towers, screen walls and stone steps all available.

Visitors can visit them one by one. The first stop of ‘Where Are We Going, Dad?’ was filmed in Lingshui Village. Coming here, you will also see the spider house where Lin Zhiying and KIMI lived, the goat house where Wang Yuelun and Wang Shiling lived, etc. It is a must-visit place for fans of variety shows. If you want to stay overnight in Lingshui Village, farmyards are of course essential. Lingshui and Cuandixia are not far apart.
