Bing Xin’s Former Residence is located at No. 33 Zhong Jian Zi Alley in Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is a historical site of significant cultural importance. In 1913, Bing Xin relocated from Fuzhou to Beijing and resided in this small courtyard for a decade. The residence can be found in a recessed passageway on the west side of the Hutong. It features a traditional Chinese three-sided courtyard layout, with the absence of a southern building. The general layout of the courtyard remains largely unchanged, although the once-present screen wall and children’s playground are no longer there. Unfortunately, the residence is now a private residence and is not open to the public for visits.
