Shahe Reservoir is located in Shahe Town, Changping District, Beijing. The water surface is tranquil. Occasionally, waterfowl fly over and feed on fish and shrimp in the water. During winter, the waste hot water discharged from the general logistics base causes steam to rise from the lake’s surface. The reeds in the water create a beautiful scene. Facing the morning sun or the evening glow, the view is even more stunning. However, in recent years, the increase in people barbecuing along the shore has led to a less pristine lake surface. Despite this, it remains a good place for outdoor and leisure activities. The reservoir is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
