Song Dong’s most extensive solo exhibition to date, “Song Dong: 13 Houses,” is coming to Beijing. Scheduled to take place at the Song Art Museum, the event will run from September 11, 2024, to December 1, 2024. Curated by Cui Cancan, this retrospective exhibition covers over 30 years of Song Dong’s life story, beginning with his birth in 1966.
The exhibition is meticulously divided into 13 distinct spaces, each showcasing a rich collection of hundreds of works. These works span a diverse range of media, including installations, performances, sculptures, videos, paintings, documentaries, archival documents, objects, and scenes. Among these, there are numerous new pieces that are being exhibited for the first time.
“Song Dong: 13 Houses” will be open to the public from September 10 to December 1, offering a comprehensive look into the artist’s creative journey and the evolution of his artistic practice.
