Yongtai Village is located in the northeastern part of Haidian District, belonging to the Haidian Dongsheng Township area.
It was originally called ‘Yongtai Camp’ as many settlements established by immigrants during the Ming Dynasty were named with the suffix ‘camp’, symbolizing ‘eternal peace’. Later, it was phonetically changed to ‘Yongtai Village’. During the Qing Dynasty, it developed into a larger village and was renamed as ‘Yongtai Village’.
