Welcome to the ‘Digital Central Axis Series’, an immersive experience exhibition showcasing the essence of Beijing’s Central Axis. This captivating journey, spanning approximately 40 minutes, is centered around the theme “Emulating Heaven and Earth, Honoring the Center”. It is structured into five distinct experience scenarios, each offering a unique perspective on the axis’s cultural significance:
1. “Zi Wei Palace View of the Central Axis” – Gain a panoramic view of the axis from the Zi Wei Palace.
2. “Night Tour of the Hall of Supreme Harmony” – Explore the grandeur of the Hall of Supreme Harmony under the night sky.
3. “The Bell and Drum Towers: Time and Solar Terms” – Discover the rhythm of time and the solar terms as marked by the Bell and Drum Towers.
4. “Flying Over the Northern Central Axis” – Experience a virtual flight over the northern part of the Central Axis.
5. “The Architectural Complex of Tiananmen Square” – Delve into the architectural intricacies of Tiananmen Square.
Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the rich culture of the Central Axis, to feel its allure, to understand the Eastern wisdom and aesthetics embodied in the Four Symbols of the Central Palace, and to experience the grand romanticism of the East that transcends the boundaries of time and space. The exhibition is open all year round, with operating hours from 10:00 to 21:00.
