The Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Processing Technology Museum, also known as the ‘Jingbang Processing Museum,’ is a modern museum dedicated to the inheritance and promotion of traditional Jingbang Chinese medicine processing techniques. Jointly established by the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and China National Pharmaceutical Group Beijing Hua Miao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the museum is one of the outcomes of the second batch of national traditional Chinese medicine processing technology inheritance bases.
The museum revolves around four themes: ‘Historical Trace,’ ‘Technological Inheritance,’ ‘Jingbang Essence,’ and ‘National Medicine Atlas.’ These themes vividly showcase the profound foundation of Jing medicine used in the imperial court, meticulous craftsmanship, and safe and effective practices.
The museum officially opened on November 8, 2018. It was approved as a ‘Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Tourism Demonstration Base’ in April 2019 and recognized as a ‘Daxing District Patriotic Education Base’ in December of the same year. In July 2020, the museum completed the filing with the Beijing Cultural Relics Bureau and was officially listed as a state-owned museum. In April 2021, it was recognized as a ‘Beijing Patriotic Education Base.’

The museum’s opening hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 16:00. It is closed all day on Saturdays and Sundays, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions. Saturdays and Sundays are only open to group visitors.
