The Shanghai Auto Museum, with an exhibition area of approximately 12,000 square meters, is divided into several sections including the History Pavilion, Collection Pavilion, Technology Pavilion, Kids’ Auto Paradise, Temporary Exhibition Area, and Our Jia Auto Study Business Leisure Area. It currently displays nearly one hundred classic antique cars from nearly 50 domestic and international car brands, spanning over 130 years of automotive development history.


Integrating exquisite exhibits, valuable historical materials, and rich multimedia interactions, the museum offers both family entertainment and aesthetic lifestyle experiences, creating a multifunctional one-stop automotive cultural leisure space for visitors. It also provides a good display and communication platform for domestic and international automotive manufacturers, cultural institutions, and private collectors.


HISTORY PAVILION (1st Floor) – Organized by era, the History Pavilion integrates the various important stages of automotive development into nine thematic exhibition areas. It showcases the milestones of world automotive development through classic representative vehicles and a series of significant events, reflecting the profound impact of the evolution of the automobile on the development of human society.

COLLECTION PAVILION (2nd Floor) – The Collection Pavilion showcases nearly 40 classic car models from the late 19th century to the 1980s, along with a series of fueling equipment and daily necessities, vividly demonstrating the inseparable close relationship between human society and modern automobiles, allowing visitors to appreciate the traces left by the times and the brilliance of technology and art.

TECHNOLOGY PAVILION (3rd Floor) – With rich content, intuitive display projects, and lively interactive devices, the Technology Pavilion creates a colorful world of automotive technology for visitors in areas such as car construction, power, safety, comfort, and automotive intelligence.

MAGIC MOTOWN (4th Floor) – Kids’ Auto Paradise welcomes you to board the time-traveling vehicle to ‘Magic Motown’, a ‘dream car city’ exclusive to children. Through immersive parent-child experience scenarios, it provides an interactive space for 2-10 year old children and their families to explore the world.


HOME STUDY (5th Floor) – Our Jia Auto Study includes a variety of functional areas such as parent-child reading, automotive culture classes, and research material lending. The bright environmental design and comfortable seating provide a relaxing space for readers who need to concentrate.


Opening Hours: Open year-round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:30-16:30; closed all day on Mondays. Admission to floors one to three ends at 16:00, and admission to the fourth floor ends at 15:30.


Preferential Policies: Children under 1.3 meters in height (each child must be accompanied by an adult to enter the museum for free), seniors over 60 years old with ID or senior citizen cards, and discounted prices for students.
