The Shanghai History Museum (Shanghai Revolutionary History Museum) is located at 325 West Nanjing Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai (formerly the Shanghai Art Museum). It is located in the historical style protection area of Shanghai People’s Square, on the west side of People’s Park, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. It is a local museum that comprehensively and comprehensively reflects Shanghai’s 6,000-year-long local history and revolutionary history.


In 1983, the ‘Shanghai Historical Relics Exhibition Hall’ was completed. In July 1991, it was renamed to its current name. On May 27, 1984, it was officially opened to the public. In October 1991, the Shanghai History Museum opened anew at 1286 Hongqiao Road. Due to rent, it is open from Tuesday to Sunday all year round from 09:00 to 17:00. It is closed all day on Mondays all year round. National holidays will be notified separately. Must-see tips: Closed on Mondays.
