The China 3D Printing Cultural Museum is a unique institution, both in China and around the world, dedicated to additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Situated at No. 6 Wenchuan Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai, within the Wisdom Bay Science and Innovation Park, it officially earned its name on July 19, 2017, when it was designated by the Industrial Culture Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
This museum is a hub that integrates cultural and historical education, cultural experiences, and the consumption of cultural derivative products. It actively plans and hosts a variety of cultural activities with a focus on keywords such as ‘3D printing’, ‘3D technology’, ‘3D design’, ‘new materials’, ‘VRAR’, and ‘intelligent manufacturing’. As a result, the museum has become a significant focal point for the additive manufacturing industry, both nationally and internationally, boasting a high brand demonstration effect and international outreach.
Spanning an area of approximately 5000 square meters, the museum houses nearly a thousand pieces that showcase the diverse applications of 3D printing technology across various industries. The six-floor museum complex includes a permanent exhibition hall, themed exhibition hall, 3D printing material library, 3D printing research center, creative corridor, interactive exhibition hall, image exhibition hall, 3D sky garden, and a 3D children’s activity center. These spaces serve to educate and immerse visitors in the rich history and culture of 3D printing and its technologies.The opening hours are as follows:
From January 1st to June 21st: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:30 to 16:30. The museum is closed all day on Mondays.
On June 22nd: 12:00 to 16:30.
From June 23rd to December 31st: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:30 to 16:30.
During the Spring Festival, Labor Day, and National Day: 09:30 to 16:30.
Preferential policies:
Free admission for children under 1 meter in height who must be accompanied by an adult (each adult can accompany up to two children).
Free admission for seniors aged 70 and above with valid identification.
Discounted tickets for students aged over 1 meter and full-time undergraduate students and below with a valid student ID.
Discounted tickets for active military personnel, disabled military personnel, martyrs’ families, and disabled persons with valid identification.
