The Shanghai Mint Museum is located in the office building of Shanghai Mint Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Shanghai Mint). It covers an area of about 600 square meters. The museum is unique with the theme of ‘minting technology’. It has three exhibition halls: ‘Modern Minting Technology Hall’, ‘Contemporary Minting Hall’, and ‘Exhibition Hall of Donated Collections by Mr. Baoke’. It showcases a large number of archive treasures such as representative coin products, molds, equipment, minting processes and procedures from various periods over more than 90 years since the establishment of the factory.
Opening hours: The Shanghai Mint Museum is not currently open to individuals and only accepts group reservations.
