Impression Wulong is a live music show directed by the ‘Iron Triangle’ of Zhang Yimou as artistic consultant, and Wang Chaoge and Fan Yue as chief directors. Over 100 characteristic actors perform live with genuine emotions, focusing on the vanishing ‘haozi’ (work songs), allowing audiences to experience the magnificent natural landscapes and unique local customs of the Bashu region within a 70-minute performance.
The venue for Impression Wulong is located approximately 9 kilometers from the Fairy Mountain Town in the Peach Blossom Grand Canyon. Upon arrival at the canyon, visitors must pass through a long tunnel where 44 projectors on both sides display dynamic images of Wulong’s scenic spots, creating a colorful and dreamlike scene, giving visitors the illusion of traveling through a time tunnel.
After exiting the tunnel, a winding shaded path leads to the audience area where seats are arranged on open-air terraces, accommodating over 2,700 people. The stage extends into the audience area, integrating with the seating, allowing for close interaction between actors and viewers.
