Guangyang Island, originally known as Guangyang Dam and Guangyang Zhou, is located between Mingyue Mountain and Tongluo Mountain in Nan’an District, Chongqing City. It is 11 kilometers away from the city center and has an area of 6.44 square kilometers. It is a sandbar island in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is a large green island in the middle of the river in the main urban area of Chongqing. It is a unique river landscape and natural ecological resource in Chongqing. It is an important base for modern urban functions in Chongqing and a rare ecological treasure island in the waters of the Yangtze River.
Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:30 to 16:30. Cruise ships are regularly suspended on Mondays.
