Climbing Jianwen Peak (via the ropeway) is rumored to be associated with the grandson of Zhu Yuanzhang—Emperor Jianwen Zhu Yunwen. Due to his reform of the imperial politics and the reduction of princely powers, he intensified the conflict and was overthrown by the Prince of Yan. Zhu Yunwen then withdrew from public life, became a monk, and secluded himself in the mountains, devoting himself to spiritual practice, eventually achieving enlightenment and ascension to immortality.
In memory of Emperor Jianwen, this place is named Jianwen Peak. After reaching the summit of Jianwen Peak, you will find the place where Emperor Jianwen ascended to immortality—Jianwen Hall. Beside the main hall, there are two ancillary halls, the Fairy Hall and the Village Maiden Hall, each with their own beautiful legends.Take the ropeway to enjoy the scenic views of Jianwen, with the Nanwenquan sightseeing ropeway spanning 880 meters and a vertical drop of 250 meters. The ride offers a panoramic view of the beautiful Nanwenquan. Upon reaching the top, you can enjoy sunrises, cloud seas, visit the ruins of Jianwen, and enjoy the pleasures of spring outings, summer retreats, autumn foliage, and winter fog as if crossing a rainbow bridge.
The Nanwenquan dry forest coaster (slide), designed and installed by the German company Wiegand, spans a total of 2280 meters and is one of the longest slides built in Asia. The speed is controlled by the visitors, with a maximum speed of 40 kilometers per hour. Sitting on the dry sled, you can glide down the mountain, experience a 360-degree spiral and many bends filled with fun and excitement, moving fast or slow through the forest, allowing you to fully enjoy a unique and thrilling experience.
