Chongqing Hua Yan Buddhist Museum is thematically divided into three major themes: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, with six functional units, which include: Buddhist rubbings corridor, Buddhist statues exhibition room, Tripitaka exhibition room, Qin bricks and Han tiles cultural corridor, ancient artifacts exhibition room, and pottery and porcelain exhibition hall.
The museum primarily displays Buddhist statues from the Ba Shu region across various dynasties, palm-leaf scriptures, bronze shaker tree leaves from the Han Dynasty, imperially bestowed national master’s cassock, as well as bronze ware, pottery, porcelain, and Qin bricks and Han tiles, among other artifacts.


Many of these are long-treasured treasures of Hua Yan Temple, holding significant importance for the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture.
The museum is open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00.
