Qiaoping Mountain is located within the territory of Jiaolu Town, Banan District. It is a low mountain in a synclinal platform with an area of 25 square kilometers. Qiaoping Mountain is famous for the ancient Qiaoping Stockaded Village and is the center of the five major stockaded villages in southern Ba County. The ancient stockaded village has 48 city gates, becoming an ancient famous stockaded village where the mountain is the stockaded village and the stockaded village is the mountain.
Although it has gone through hundreds of years and many wars, it still stands majestically on Qiaoping Mountain. Among the 48 city gates, 24 are still basically intact. Qiaoping Mountain has been a Buddhist holy land since the Song Dynasty. Since ancient times, famous mountains have many stone temples. There are a total of 48 (locations) large and small temples on the mountain. Among them, 14 are large-scale ones, especially the ancient Tiancheng Temple and Baiyun Temple which are renowned. There are groups of ancient tombs on the mountain. Those commonly known as ‘Manzi Caves’ are Han Dynasty rock tombs. There are even more ancient tombs from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The mound tomb of General Ba Manzi on General Ridge and the large-scale mausoleum of Liu Chunjun, Minister of Rites in the Ming Dynasty at the foot of Jiaozi Mountain are all well-preserved. The Qiaoping Mountain Scenic Area has ten major scenic spots: Heilong Bay, Shuicaokou, Baiyun Peak, Longjinkou, Laomao Cave, Nianpan Mountain, General Ridge, Guishi Cliff, Laolong Cave, and Ma’anshan.
