Jingshui Ancient Temple is built in a deep valley, surrounded by mountains and ancient trees reaching into the sky. The stream in front of the temple is so clean that no fish or shrimp live in it, hence the name Jingshui. The mountain range of Jingshui Temple is majestic. It originates from Beishanzhang in Meixian and rushes straight to San’ao of Matu. Two peaks stand opposite each other, like double swords at Longmen. The iron fan locks the entrance, and the water flows through ninety-nine bends. It is a natural treasure land. According to legend, Song Xiang, a talented scholar of Jiaying in the Qing Dynasty, once visited this place and left a poem on the corridor of the temple hall, which reads: ‘The rock can produce rice, not a false dream. The cave has a flying stove, and there is no doubt. Natural wonderful scenery attracts many people. Tourists often write poems about wearing the moon.’
