Kowloon Park is one of the larger parks located in the bustling heart of Kowloon. Upon entering the park, visitors are greeted with lush greenery, tranquil springs, and a variety of facilities such as the Comic Star Avenue, Cultural Discovery Museum, Children’s Adventure Land, Labyrinth Garden, Bird Lake, and Chinese-style gardens, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls.
The Comic Star Avenue, themed around comics, showcases the handprints of comic artists and painted sculptures of classic characters. In addition, there are Comic History and Education corridors that display the history of local comic development, the comic creation process, tools, studio scenes of comic artists, and original comic manuscripts.
The Cultural Discovery Museum showcases cultural relics, architectural structures, and archaeological findings, and regularly hosts thematic lectures, workshops, and guided tours. The park also features a swimming pool and a large sports complex, which includes an indoor heated pool, an outdoor play pool, and a dedicated children’s shallow pool. The sports complex’s main arena is equipped with oak wood flooring, suitable for basketball, volleyball, handball, and other sports.
The children’s playground has been transformed from the original fortress and battery on the park’s hilltop. The southern part of the park is dominated by Chinese-style gardens, interspersed with multiple themed paths and exhibition areas. This includes a sculpture gallery displaying more than ten artistic sculptures and a study path with over 30 varieties of trees. The park is also home to various species of birds, including black swans, flamingos, and mandarin ducks.
The park is open all year round from 05:00 to midnight.
