The Macau East Asian Games Dome is located in the reclaimed area of Cotai. It is a multi-functional gymnasium built by Macau for the Fourth East Asian Games. It is currently the larger indoor gymnasium in Macau. The gymnasium officially opened on July 5, 2005. Due to its elliptical dome architecture, it is known as the ‘Macau Egg’. The gymnasium is divided into three areas: the main venue, the auxiliary venue and the multi-functional hall, including indoor sports fields, comprehensive theaters and exhibitions.
