As the birthplace of the Grand Prix, Macao invites you to relive the extraordinary history of this unique race and experience the thrill of motorsports firsthand. The museum houses decades of racing cars and motorcycles, narrating the glorious chapters written by drivers, teams, and legendary figures in the Pearl River Delta since 1954. The essence of years in the racing world converges in the 21st century to offer you an unparalleled comprehensive experience.
Under the jurisdiction of the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Grand Prix Museum officially opened on June 1, 2021. The expanded museum, now a four-story building, has increased its total construction area by six times to approximately 16,000 square meters, providing visitors with knowledge, entertainment, leisure, and learning experiences related to the Grand Prix.

The renovation project has been awarded the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification for New Construction (Building Design and Construction category). To further enhance the museum’s appeal and enrich visitor experiences, the Tourism Office has displayed wax figures of eight renowned racers at the Grand Prix Museum since March 27, 2023. Among the eight wax figures, five were specially made by Madame Tussauds for this collaboration, including those of Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, and Sebastian Vettel. The wax figures of Senna, Hamilton, and Vettel were recast.

The museum is open all year round from Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM; closed all day on Tuesday.
