The Macau Central Library was founded in 1895. Its predecessor can be traced back to the library built in 1873. It consists of eight public libraries. Centered around the main building of the Central Library in Tap Seac, it has formed an important local public library network.
Opening hours: Open from 14:00 to 00:00 on Mondays throughout the year; open from 08:00 to 00:00 from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year. It is also open on public holidays. Closed after 2 pm on Chinese New Year’s Eve. Closed on the first, second, and third days of the lunar new year. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
