The Catholic Art Museum and Crypt are located in the ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral behind the Ruins of St. Paul. The exhibits in the museum are Catholic art masterpieces collected by many churches and monasteries, including four oil paintings interpreting the deeds of St. Francis, as well as the crucifixion of Jesus, holy statue sculptures, liturgical objects, etc. The oil painting ‘Archangel St. Michael’ in the museum is very famous. St. Paul’s Cathedral was destroyed by a fire in 1835. This oil painting is the oil painting art work that has survived to this day from St. Paul’s College. In the center of the crypt is the ruins of a granite tomb. In the niches on the walls on both sides of the crypt are the bones of martyrs from Japan and Vietnam. Opening hours: Open all year round from 9:00 to 18:00 on Monday, Wednesday to Sunday; Open all year round from 9:00 to 14:00 on Tuesday.
