The Ice Realm Cooling Pavilion is located next to the Fish Swim Plaza in the Beihai Silver Beach Resort, the first ice sculpture art performance space on Chinese beaches. The pavilion’s interior is deeply integrated with ice elements, creating a dreamy atmosphere. With cave-style design, beach sea view terraces, and approximately 6000 square meters of indoor and outdoor venues, the art ice sculpture cooling theater showcases the avant-garde dance drama ‘Rong’, diverse art exhibitions, and the extreme cold cave-style ice storage, forming an interesting collision and boundless imagination.
The Ice Realm Cooling Pavilion invites Han Yuan Guang’s team, inheritors of ice lantern and ice sculpture art funded by the National Art Fund, to reside on site and create ice sculptures. The pavilion also offers ice-themed specialty catering and creative cocktails. Visitors can rest and cool down in the pavilion, appreciate the ice sculpture creation process and works, and enjoy the coolness while overlooking the beautiful scenery of Silver Beach. The Ice Realm Cooling Pavilion, backed by the sea, presents a posture of swimming fish, as if embracing the sea at any time. The pavilion’s exterior is uniquely crafted, with smooth lines and simple colors, harmoniously blending with the surrounding silver-white sand beaches. From the outside stairs to the second floor of the Ice Realm Pavilion, visitors are greeted by a large platform with a 180-degree view of the sea. Standing on the observation deck on the second floor, the Silver Beach sea view is panoramic, with the gentle sea breeze blowing, bringing the taste of summer. Here, one can savor the coolness of the sea breeze while enjoying the sparkling sea surface, feeling the grandeur and tranquility of the world’s first beach. Entering the indoor area of the second floor of the Ice Realm Pavilion, one finds fine sand underfoot and moss clinging to the walls, making the entire cave seem naturally formed. The tables and chairs inside the cave are made of natural stone, with various shapes, as if one is in the embrace of nature. On the first floor of the Ice Realm Pavilion, there is also a mysterious ice storage with extremely low temperatures inside, housing many ice sculptures carved by internationally renowned ice sculpture art craftsmen. Visitors can touch these crystal-clear ice blocks here, experiencing the cool touch and feeling the charm of ice and snow at zero distance. The venue also features the avant-garde dance drama ‘Rong’, which uses ice as a medium to tell the story of ‘life cycles’, a performance full of vitality that allows the audience to experience the essence and beauty of time, life, and emotions. The venue is open all year round from 09:30 to 22:00.
