Pudu Temple is planned to be built on the south side of Guantou Ridge National Forest Park at the western end of Beihai City, facing the Beibu Gulf, 6 kilometers away from the city center. It is an ideal place to build a pure forest and a Buddhist realm by the sea and sky. The temple covers an area of 90 acres with a construction area of 7800 square meters.
Adhering to the Zen Buddhist ‘Jialan Qi Tang’ system, the main structure of Pudu Temple is designed with the grandeur of the Han and Tang dynasties, characterized by solemnity, openness, grandeur, simplicity in color, and a flat and distant roof, with simple and unadorned doors and windows as the main style. It integrates the mountains, waters, and forests of Guantou Ridge; the sea and wind of the Beibu Gulf, blending temple architecture into the natural environment. Pudu Temple is built into a better garden temple in the Beibu Gulf, and is primarily a non-commercial venue for practicing Buddhist teachings, promoting sacred teachings, advocating goodness, and purifying people’s hearts.
